The Effects Of Alzheimer's Disease On Brain Structure
[ send me this essay ]
A 5 page research paper on the physical changes observed in the brain cells of Alzheimer's Disease patients. For all the research into the causes of Alzheimer's, microscopic examination at autopsy remains the definitive diagnosis tool. The paper presents descriptions of both neurofibrillary tangles and amyloid plaques along with popular theories of their formations and possible physiological treatments. As it is though, researchers only know the two conditions are part of the disease. Whether they are caused by Alzheimer's or Alzheimer's causes them is still unknown. Bibliography lists 8 sources.
